Verified means every account is device-checked with a live selfie before it can ever check in. It's not a badge you earn later — it's the entry requirement. That single step removes the fake profiles, the bots, and the catfish that erode trust everywhere else.
Present means the people you see aren't a database of maybes — they're actually in the room with you, right now. Live selfie check-in confirms both things at once: that you're real, and that you're here.
Together they change the base assumption of the whole experience. Instead of ‘is this person even real?’ the question becomes ‘should I say hi?’ That's the version of dating we wanted to build.
